We are currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join COCC! This is a highly visible role in a team of 8 other network professionals supporting COCC and our clients. Primary Responsibilities: •Investigate performance and client-server connectivity issues for clients •Design and install new network platforms and/or manage the upgrading of existing networks for clients •Coordinate and escalate efforts by telecommunications carriers to install new or repair failed networks •Perform technical research Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience •Minimum five years installing and supporting TCP/IP routers, WAN circuits, and DSUs •CCNP and/or CCIE certification desired •Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management both orally and in writing Technical Skills: •TCP/IP protocols, arp, ping, trace, snmp •IP Routing process, route tables, RIP, preferably OSPF, EIGRP or similar •Advanced knowledge of Cisco routers and IOS •Advanced knowledge of clocking, signaling, framing, and errors of T1s, OC-X, ATM, Frame •Frame Relay networks, some ATM, PVCs •Ethernet, switches, cabling •Basic network topologies, Frame, point-to-point, ISDN •Internet basics, DNS, Firewall or ACL concepts •Network troubleshooting skills •Basics of Telecom tariffs and circuit ordering COCC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including; Medical, Dental, Paid Day Off for Birthdays, Tuition Assistance, 401K / Profit Sharing and much more!
