Details: Job Summary and Mission  Starbucks is seeking a Senior Application Platform Developer in Siebel to play a key role in designing, developing, extending and supporting applications. This individual will contribute to Starbucks success by applying knowledge of business/functional requirements and systems technology to effectively deliver solutions and support applications. The key activities for this role involve providing expertise on technology and architecture, identification of gaps, designing, developing and deploying enhanced process and technology solutions to support operational requirements and/or strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses knowledge of ERP/CRM functional capabilities and system configuration.  The role is directly accountable for representing solutions to business unit customers, spanning all levels of the assigned business areas. Experience will include proficiency with standard software development life cycle (SDLC), IT delivery practices and change control procedures. The candidate should, under minimal supervision, utilize expertise within assigned application areas to analyze and solve medium to large, moderately complex business needs with technical solutions. This position represents the team in projects that cross team boundaries and the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve production issues.Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks Guiding Principles.  Summary of Key Responsibilities Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:  Assists in systems planning, scheduling and implementation and collaborates with project team to keep project on schedule.Translates business/functional requirements into technology solutions and clearly defines and communicates targeted technical solution via technical design specificationsLeads iterative solution design and prototyping effortsCommunicates and collaborates effectively within and across team boundaries, including IT management, as appropriateCollaborates in developing requirements, conducting analysis, design, coding, unit-testing, and documentationPossesses aptitude for gaining a thorough understanding of the business and applying it to deliverablesPerforms application configuration in support of solution delivery initiativesCreates system documentation to support new system implementation, enhancement deployment, and incident management effortsConducts knowledge transfer to team members as requiredLeverages subject matter expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting complex system/user issues to drive resolution and determine root causeCoordinates issue resolution efforts across peer support groups, technical support teams, and vendors as requiredCoordinates and communicates issues resolutionCorrelates related production issues and assesses trends to identify broader improvement opportunitiesExtends technology support internationally to support global business operationsMay lead project teams or direct the activities of a given project phaseSupports the development of less-experienced analysts through coaching and mentoringSupports team building and internal process improvement efforts and lead by exampleRelates system solutions to broader organization strategies and objectives
