ROLE: Application Engineer PURPOSE: Assure that WABCO devices and systems are applied appropriately in the vehiclesKEY RESULT AREAS:Match the application requirements with WABCO specificationsValidate customer applicationRelease customer application with relevant documentation MAIN TASKS: Matching application: Comparing the customer specifications and WABCO specifications Resolve the gap in consultation with product group engineer and customer Check proper matching of installation interfaces Conducting system calculations and assessing parameter settings Check that the devices would operate satisfactorily in the vehicle operating environment Validation of application Check installation in the vehicle Check function in the vehicle Homologate or support customer to homologate according to national and international regulations as appropriate Get special tests are required by customer or specific application through product group engineer / project teams Use application validation guidelines when available Support product group engineer to develop application validation guidelines when not available Customer application release Get the outline drawings approved by the customer through Key Account Teams Prepare Customer Application Release Report Customer instruction and training
