Details: ~One mid-level SAN engineer will serve full-time, approximately 2,000 hours per year, to assist Enterprise Operations with system administration activities. This includes, but is not limited to, managing the SAN environment, supporting capacity planning, providing performance and trending analyses, advanced troubleshooting and assisting with new technology integration. Candidates submitted for this task should be flexible enough to work a diversified schedule and participate in 24×7 on-call technical support.RESPONSIBILITIES:Configuration, allocation, and management of the storage infrastructureIntegration and operations for complex systems in an enterprise data center environmentEnterprise-level applications, backup and disaster recovery supportEnterprise data migration and data replicationAdvanced troubleshooting, trending analyses, capacity planning and technical supportCreating and/or providing inputs towards SAN system documentation and status reports including but not limited to After Action Reports, Standard Operating Procedures, System Baseline Change Requests and Configuration Management Plans.Effective communication, both orally and in writing, with senior staff, information systems professionals and the non-technical user communityREQUIREMENTS:The SAN Support Engineer will require at least 6 years of hands-on EMC SAN storage implementation and configuration experience supporting an enterprise Windows, Solaris and VMware environment.
