Details: Application Analyst – Clinical Information SystemsPOSITION SUMMARYDesigns, supports, maintains, and monitors Clinical Applications with critical reliability and maximum uptime.  Performs technical functions including: evaluating, supporting, implementing and troubleshooting Clinical Applications for both Corporate and facilities.  Position requires thorough technical knowledge in area of expertise.  Maintains a high level of service on production systems and anticipates future requirements, trends, and changes to assure current and future customer satisfaction.  Performs a variety of technical functions including testing and installing software.  Performs troubleshooting of system problems utilizing management consoles and other troubleshooting tools.  Evaluates and tests various equipment, systems, and procedures for use within the environment.  Constructs and maintains configurations for Clinical Applications. Responsible for creating and maintaining graphical and text-based application documentation and standards development.  Responsible for configuring and implementing monitoring and management systems.  Evaluates new software that will enhance the Clinical Applications environment. Available 24x7 on rotational on-call and for scheduled maintenance windows.  Up to 25% travel may be required.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES* Propose and create system design models and specifications to provide input to CHS strategic direction.* Conduct research, cost-benefit and return-on-investment analysis on proposed hardware, software and systems to justify recommendations, support purchasing efforts and aid management in making application design and architecture decisions. * Create and maintain application standards documentation as it relates to system design, configuration, support, and processes.* Design, implement, and engineer application security standards, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.* Proactively monitor, test, collect and analyze system performance statistical data to improve quality of application services.* Ensure compatibility and interoperability of clinical applications and architectures in support of all hospital and enterprise computing systems.* Provide application management support for event identification, event correlation, event escalation and event recovery as related to network infrastructures. * Diagnose and resolve complex configuration and troubleshooting issues within a multi-vendor application environment.
