Details: Job Description:As a Desktop Engineer you will be institutional in helping to deliver excellence in both end-user desktop experience and technical support. You will assist with the maintenance and support of client's Windows infrastructure environment. This position is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, support and operation of Windows computing platforms. Other responsibilities include research and development of new technology and engineering best practices, as well as implementation of complex and comprehensive solutions for enterprise business applications. The Desktop Engineer will: -Operate as a technical expert on infrastructure projects pertaining to directory services, software distribution, hosted services, monitoring, file serving, virtualization, systems management, design, architecture, capacity planning, and DR -Perform infrastructure service design and implementations, performance analysis and optimization, monitoring and problem resolution, upgrade planning and execution, and process creation and documentation -Optimize or re-design existing infrastructure services as needed -Engineering and maintaining Group Policies -Build and manage Development, Test, and Stage environments -Suggest improvements based on technology, best practices, or changing requirements -Maintain environmental documentation, product road mapping, SLA reporting and operation performance metrics. The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (preferred) in IT-related field and/or 4+ years' experience designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Infrastructure environments, and the following background/experience: * Proven understanding of Windows System Engineering, Active Directory, DNS, Scripting experience (Batch, WMI, VBScript, Powershell, .net) related to a desktop environment * Knowledge and proficiency with Scripting Languages VBScript, and SQL * Advanced Group Policy Management & Administration * Windows Systems Engineering and Troubleshooting skills * Excelled proficiency engineering/managing/operating a SCCM environment is desired. * Strong skills in Windows XP/7, Microsoft Outlook and Office. * Prior experience in working projects supporting IT Risk/Security * Knowledge in supporting Apple (MAC) environments a plus * Ability to translate and implement complex technical requirements into implementable and manageable solutions * Must possess good verbal and written communication skills * Self-motivator & attention to detail * Experience with mission-critical services and applications in a large enterprise environment * Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and balance conflicting demands * Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal and leadership skillsRandstad Technologies is an EOE-M/F/V/D and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Randstad Holding nv, a $22.5 billion global provider of HR services and the second largest staffing organization in the world.
