Firestone Agricultural Tire is currently seeing a Field Engineer to join the team at our Des Moines, IA facility!   The facility:It is fitting that the Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations manufacturing plant, which serves the needs of agriculture around the world, is located in Des Moines, Iowa – the heart of America’s farm belt.Sitting on nearly 120 acres and with more than two million square feet under one roof, the plant is the largest ag tire manufacturing facility. The production from this plant supplies a significant percentage of the original equipment and replacement tires in the global ag market it serves. The facility also builds forestry and construction tires. Responsibilities: Identifies locations for field tests of production and evaluation of agricultural tires.  Follows tests with periodic visits and report relevant data.  Oversees Adjustment Service Center operations for tires submitted for Warranty/Policy consideration. Acts as an engineering liaison with Bridgestone Ag sales staff, authorized dealer contacts, and end-users.  Monitors and responds to customer & dealer website inquiries and 800 number messages. Assists in training internal and external contacts per Firestone University modules, both in-house and in-field. This position will interface and communicate effectively with customers in the field that need engineering decisions in a professional manner in order to maintain continues customer confidence, corresponds with customers, stores, & dealers on technical information regarding tire applications. Makes recommendations to customers on how to maximize product performance. Provides analysis to groups which has significant effect on adjustments, liability, and quality.
