Details: Software Engineer 3Wilmington, NCWe would prefer a contractor located in the Wilmington, NC area. Job Description: Working with a small team of programmers and testers, this individual will produce new programs/code to be used in support of clinical research data management. The ideal candidate will work under minimal guidance and direction. Work instructions will generally include high-level user-interface descriptions, verbal instructions, and notes from conversations with the client. The engineer is expected to influence the technical design such that system performance and throughput meets customer needs. Required Qualifications/Skills: • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent background • Minimum 3 years of experience as a programmer • Minimum 1 year of experience as a consultant • Successful track record of 3-12 month contracting engagements • Full-time availability from June 2012 until December 2012 • Effectively read, write, and converse in the English language • Work in a distributed team environment • Demonstrable expertise with the following technologies o Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 .NET with C# o Oracle 10g/11g including PL/SQL o Native (Windows Forms) user interfaces o XML web services Ideal Candidate Will Have: • Comfort with agile methods and tools o Visual SourceSafe o Continuous integration (daily check-in/build) o Enhancement/defect tracking application • Familiarity with the clinical research domain including o Any software used to manage collection of case report forms, electronic data capture, Oracle Clinical, etc. o Key concepts such as study, subject, visit, domain, etc. o CFR 21 part 11 o Quality management, validation, life cycle documentation • Ability to utilize the following additional technologies o Multi-threading code in .NET and/or PL/SQL o Eclipse o J2EE o Axis2 o Tomcat o iTextRandstad Technologies is an EOE-M/F/V/D and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Randstad Holding nv, a $22.5 billion global provider of HR services and the second largest staffing organization in the world.
